i lucked out at bookoff in january 02 and scored a copy of "DA's party" a concert video from 1999 which features TMR (in his annoying "turbo type D" incarnation... how glad i am he's moved on from that), solo performance by Asakura, a bit of Mad Soldiers, some Kotani Kinya (who i'd never heard of, but Spicy Marmalade is darn addictive), and... ICEMAN! ^_^
The nature of this page being what it is, you can guess where my commentary lies. At times, Daisuke Asakura reminds me of Elton John.. theatrical, flamboyant, and very very good at what he does. Especially when he jumps up on his keyboards. ^^;;
Expander Drive Machine is Kenichi Ito's solo turn at vocals (with Asakura on backing guitar)... and leaving the instrumentless and vocal-less Kuroda to go nuts on stage with a tambourine. :laugh: It's a good song, and it's fun to watch.
Then there's the backflips. Kuroda is a gorgeous man, and athletic to boot. #^^# This video fast became my favorite for watching in the gym. Fast music, gorgeous men. What more does a woman need to get her heart-rate up?
By sheer accident last year, i got my paws on Kanata Amano's ANGEL CRY-MAX doujinshi from Aestheticism's Cybershoppe. It had been billed as a TM Revolution dj, but when i got it, it turned out to be Iceman.. mostly about Messers. Ito and Kuroda. ^.~ Sweet.
Normally, "real people" doujin strikes me as kind of peculiar, in the same way that fanfiction about the Backstreet Boys wierds me out. But.. i've never seen another Iceman dj before or since, so...... anyways...... ^^;;;;
The doujinshi dates to right around the above video, which is kind of a fun bit of symmetry.
i'm currently working on translating the doujinshi, and when parts of it are finished i'll post them here, along with scans!
